According to a letter recently mailed to North Street property owners by the DPW:
“Caracas Construction Corporation of Ludlow, Massachusetts, will be starting the reconstruction of North Street beginning the week of July 9, 2012. The work includes replacement of sewer, water and drainage utilites, sidewalks, curbing, driveway entrances, roadway surface, signage, pavement markings and the installation of three raised crosswalks. Work is expected to take two construction seasons and is scheduled to be completed by December 1, 2013.”
News about the reconstruction can be found on the DPW’s blog and in its Engineering pages.
These handouts from the June 25 meeting include questions posed by the North Street Neighbors group and changes to parking and crosswalks proposed by the DPW.
