Here is a complete Google video of Design Northampton Week’s fourth public “in-process” presentation and feedback session that took place on September 12. It’s one hour and 20 minutes long. Thanks to Katharine Baker, a member of the Northampton Design Forum organizing committee, for volunteering to operate our video cameras.
This was the last “in-process” presentation. The final presentation of Design Northampton Week followed on September 13. We will post that video online within a few days along with all the slides. The Notre Dame students are now returning to South Bend, Indiana. They will refine their proposals for Northampton during the fall semester.

The Notre Dame students explored the idea of making sidewalks wider and the roadway more narrow along Main Street. It’s also proposed to line up buildings closer to the street in Florence Center, making for a more cozy ambiance for pedestrians.
