Public gets look at Northampton police station plans
Construction of the city’s new police station could begin as soon as the late fall, but city and project officials say there’s still plenty of room for public input before then…
“My biggest concern is, let’s make sure it looks like it belongs in downtown Northampton,” said Bruce Kriviskey, of Ice Pond Drive…
Ray Kinghorn of PinnacleOne, a Boston firm that will act as clerk of the works, said drawings were not set in stone. “The next step is to try and get more definition and detail for the building,” like the colors of bricks and the design of the garage’s facade, he said.
Sienkiewicz said preliminary designs will be posted soon at the building committee’s Web site, www.northamptonma.gov/psbc, and invited the public to give more feedback…
