I'm writing to inform everyone of a very important public meeting to be held on Wednesday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. to present the new Three County Fair Master Plan to the residents of Ward 3 and the city.
The meeting will be held at the Fair offices on Fair Street, and the presenter will be Curtis Catron of Bullock Smith Partners of Memphis, TN, the firm assisting the fair association in development of the new Master Plan. At an earlier meeting to receive neighborhood input, Curtis promised to hold a neighborhood meeting to unveil the proposed redevelopment plan to area residents, and this meeting will do just that.
The Master Plan will show the proposed location of structures and other uses on the fairgrounds property. Curtis Catron will detail the size and shape of new and old buildings, as well as parking, equestrian facilities, the midway, and other necessary components of the Fairgrounds redevelopment plan. There will be opportunity for neighbors to ask questions and offer comments on the proposal at this meeting.
This meeting is being sponsored by the Board of Directors of the Three County Fair and the Ward 3 Neighborhood Association. We hope you'll join us to hear what's being planned for this important facility in the years ahead.
